FSM Education Strategic Plan 2020-2024

The Federated States of Micronesia’s Education Sector Plan (2020–2024) aims to improve the quality of learning, particularly in literacy (reading) and numeracy, at all education levels within safe, climate-resistant learning environments.

Prepared with support from the Global Partnership for Education, the Federated States of Micronesia’s Education Sector Plan (2020–2024) aims to improve the quality of learning, particularly in literacy (reading) and numeracy, at all education levels within safe, climate-resistant learning environments.

To achieve this overarching goal, the plan outlines five sub-goals:

  1. Provide high-quality, relevant programs for learners at all levels of education.
  2. Improve the quality of teachers and teaching across all education levels.
  3. Maintain consistent performance monitoring and establish data-based decision-making systems.
  4. Strengthen community participation in school management.
  5. Ensure that education is aligned with the life and aspirations of the people of the Federated States of Micronesia.
